As a webshop merchant, why choose Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central?

Nowadays, many customers buy their products online. Both in the B2B market, as well as the B2C market. To sell their products, companies within the SME segment use e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, etc., to facilitate this. In addition to the e-commerce side, companies use ERP systems for their data, such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Microsoft’s cloud service, is often used for managing items, stock, customers, orders, purchasing, sales, invoicing, etc.
Microsoft recently published data about the performance of Dynamics 365 Business Central. Amazingly, the number of organizations using Business Central has doubled within a single year. This means that more than 10,000 new customers have been added worldwide in just 12 months. An impressive feat, making Business Central the world’s fastest-growing ERP solution for the mid-market.
More than 20.000 customer organizations
Dynamics 365 Business Central now has more than 20.000 customer organizations on its SaaS platform and is seeing continuous growth in the number of users per implementation. These updated numbers come from Microsoft’s general manager Mike Morton, who presented them at the DIRECTIONS event for Dynamics NAV and Business Central partners in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Only a year ago, Morton reported that Business Central had exceeded the 10.000 customers milestone.
All this growth comes down to 800+ net new customers per month! This growth rate continues to accelerate, seeing a monthly increase between October 2019 and November 2020 of 500 new customers.
Goal of Microsoft
Microsoft has a clear goal: making Business Central ‘the world’s best ERP solution for small and medium businesses. One of their focus areas is further streamlining implementations. The company’s goal is to make this process both easier, faster, and cheaper, all reasons for a company to choose Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central as their ERP system.
Further strong growth signs are positive, with Microsoft continuing to increase its number of localized Business Central country versions. With their ambition to make this solution available worldwide, the number of active Dynamics 365 Business Central resellers is growing spectacularly, covering more than 100 different countries. The innovative and highly motivated partner ecosystem keeps adding certified apps to AppSource as well, the online Appstore of Microsoft. All of these are important variables that predict even stronger growth for years to come.
